The Pan African Cultural Festival is part of a series of events commemorating September as African Heritage Month. This event is held at the Plaza of the Silver Spring Civic Center at

One Veterans Plaza,
1 Veterans place,
Silver Spring, MD 20910.

The festival showcases the rich and diverse cultures of the African people. The festival attracts people of all ages and backgrounds. Montgomery County is the first county to dedicate an entire month to the African Community. The African Heritage Month recognizes The African Union day and the critical relationships between the United States and African nations.

Panafest welcomes the following types of vendors

  1. Food Vendors: Limited Booth spaces available assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. County issued one day food handling license is required
  2. Merchandise Vendors: include sellers of arts & crafts, t-shirts, African print clothing, fashion accessories etc.
  3. Informational vendors: includes those that are providing information, setting a display, or distributing promotional material.
  4. Participation fee is for a 10’x10’ space only. Vendors provide their own tables, chairs and tents.
  5. Electrical outlets are limited and assigned upon request and on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  6. Vending slot is not confirmed until full payment is received
